In-Home Childcare
The Wildlings In-Home Childcare allows time for children to explore their curiosity, a time to learn while playing and a time of rapid growth and development. Our In-Home Program of learning relies on differentiated instruction and play based learning. We strive to educate and care for all children of Aotearoa that is developmentally appropriate and personal to each learner that only a home can offer.

Quality Home-Based Childcare Educators
We connect you with Quality Educators and are proud of the high standard of care we provide. Our educators are well resourced, supported and monitored by experienced and qualified kaiako. All our educators are police vetted and receive regular first aid training. Periodic visits are done for this purpose and often with parent involvement to ensure child development goals are being met.
Nurturing and Supportive Home Environment
We work within flexible hours to provide a Nurturing and Supportive Environment across all our in-home children environment. Small group ratios (maximum of 4 children at a time) means children benefit from being part of a small group, where their individual needs and interests are respected and responded to. One-on-one relationships with educators helps children to grow in confidence. The Wildlings works closely with parents and educators to set goals for an individual child
Flexible Care Arrangements, including Settling Transitions
Once you have chosen the educator who will be the perfect fit for your family, they will work alongside you to provide you with flexible care arrangements that work around a settling-in transition for your child, the hours you require care and potential drop off or pick up options. Our service exists to meet the needs of our families and we know that these needs can be changeable depending on your family’s circumstances.
Regular Community Events and Outings
The Wildlings holds fortnightly teacher-led events and outings for children and educators to attend. Getting out and about in the local community is an important benefit of home-based early childhood education. It allows your child to make connections to the world around them, learn to explore unfamiliar environments and engage with people from all walks of life. It grows their confidence, curiosity and capability and challenges them to adapt to changing environments and situations. This is a healthy (and important) part of their development and learning. Our events and outings provide an opportunity for children to be around a larger group of other children and educators, socialising with their peers and engaging in play-based learning activities.
Transition to School Programmes
As our children approach their school years, they are supported with the transition to a new learning environment. Our educators engage in school readiness programmes that build competence and confidence in our little learners, as they enter their next stage of life.
